The Faces Beneath The Crown: Amina’s New Beginning
This week, we’re sharing the stories of a few of our American customers — women who found the courage to change their lives and, in doing so, rediscovered themselves. The faces in the photos may be from our customers or belong to models, but the stories are absolutely true — told by Queens who trusted us to be part of their journey.
When Amina left her home country with her family at fifteen and immigrated to Atlanta, Georgia, she carried dreams much larger than her suitcase. Three years later, she found herself in a marriage that dimmed her light and was a threat to her well being. On her twenty-fourth birthday, she made the bravest decision of all: to start over.
She packed up her courage and moved to California, determined to rebuild everything from the ground up — her life, her confidence, her sense of self. She joined a gym, found a new job, surrounded herself with new friends. This took a lot of courage, but she is thriving with the support of a (fun) loving roommate.
But what she wanted most was a transformation that mirrored her new beginning. She had always loved her beautiful, healthy hair — and the thought of cutting it short for a new look felt exciting and at the same time like a betrayal. When she discovered crowns, she realized she could reinvent herself without losing a single inch of her beautiful hair.
Today, Amina radiates joy. She’s thriving in her new career, exploring education, and loving every minute of her independent life. “I don’t even recognize the young woman I used to be only eleven months ago,” she said. “Everything has changed for the better. I’m so happy! Thank you for helping me match my new look with my new life.”
Amina’s story reminds us that transformation doesn’t always mean letting go — sometimes, it’s about adding something that finally makes you feel whole.
