Part 3: Caring for Your Crown – With Love, as Befits a True Queen

A crown is more than just an accessory – it is a loyal companion, a piece of expressive power that carries us through the highs and lows of everyday life. To keep it shining beautifully for a long time, it deserves care given with devotion, knowledge, and a touch of magic.

But fear not – royal haircare need not be complicated. On the contrary, with just a few simple rituals, it becomes a tender act of self-care.

1. The Right Place to Keep It
Like any treasured possession, your crown belongs in a safe, dry place. Whether it’s resting on a wig stand, a lovely shelf, or nestled back in its original box – the most important thing is that it maintains its shape and elegance.

2. Less Is More – When Washing
We always tell our Queens: as rarely as possible, as often as needed. There’s no one-size-fits-all rule, but generally, depending on how often you wear it, washing your crown every 10–15 wears is ideal. Use lukewarm to cool water and a shampoo specifically formulated for synthetic crowns – standard haircare products are too harsh. Most importantly: gently squeeze, never rub, and let it air dry on a stand with love (never on a radiator or in direct sunlight).

3. For Synthetic Crowns:
No heat, no round brushes, no experiments! A bit of finger styling, a wide-tooth comb, and a light care spray are more than enough. And here’s a little royal tip: hang your crown in the bathroom overnight – the steam will help soften waves and tame frizz.

4. For Heat-Friendly or Human Hair Crowns:
Feel free to use a curling iron or styling tools now and then – but always with a heat protection spray. A deep-conditioning treatment once a week (especially in the lengths) works wonders and keeps the natural shine alive.

5. Gentle Handling
Treat your crown like a dear friend – with respect and tenderness. No yanking, no rushed brushing, and please – never stick pins through the lace front or monofilament. Your crown will reward you with grace and royal radiance.
